According to the police, the incident involved two motorcycles: one with registration number UFA 876P, a red Bajaj Boxer, and another with registration number UDA 928C, also a red Bajaj Boxer.

Maate stated that Irankunda was riding the motorcycle with registration number UFA 876P. The cause of the accident has been attributed to dangerous overtaking and speeding.
He said that the scene was visited by ASP Kushaba Michael, the DTO of Kisoro, and his team.
The victim was initially rushed to Mutorele Hospital for treatment, while his body was transported to Kisoro Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem.
