GOMBA – At least three individuals have tragically lost their lives, and eight others have sustained injuries in a devastating road accident involving a Jaguar Bus with registration number UBF 736G.
The incident occurred on the Kajumiro Maddu-Ssembabule road as the bus was en route from Rwanda to Uganda via Mirama in Gomba District.
The bus reportedly lost control and overturned at Kajumiro Maddu, resulting in the fatalities, including the driver, David Assimwe.
The injured victims were swiftly transported for medical treatment at Maddu HC III, while the deceased were taken to Gomba Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Although the exact cause of the accident remains unknown, SP Michael Kananura has confirmed that investigations are currently underway to determine the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
