Minister of State for General Duties, Henry Musasizi, has commended Standard Chartered Bank for its role in co-financing major government projects, including the construction of Kabalega International Airport in Hoima and the Kampala Industrial Business Park in Namanve.

Musasizi made the remarks on Wednesday evening while officiating at the Standard Chartered Bank Group and Regional Client Visit Dinner held at Kampala Serena Hotel.

“Uganda’s USD 66.1 billion economy, projected for this fiscal year, benefits from growing forward and backward market linkages within the East African Community, the continent’s most dynamic and diversified economic bloc,” Musasizi said.

He added that the dinner provided a timely platform to strengthen the partnership between the government and the bank in mobilizing resources crucial for Uganda’s economic transformation.
