KABALE – A 30 year old bar Owner has committed suicide in Kabale Municipality.
The deceased is identified as Grace Ahimbisibwe, a resident of central East cell, Central division, Kabale municipality in kabale district. She was yesterday found dead in her residence at Agaba Motel building in room 40.
The shocking incident came to light when Fred Kadugara (57), a resident of Makanga Cell, Butobere Ward, Central Division, Kabale Municipality, reported her disappearance. According to Kadugara, the last known sighting of Grace was on January 20, 2024, at her bar. Subsequently, a missing person case was filed under Kabale SD Ref: 35/30/01/2024.
The disheartening discovery was made by police officers from the Homicide Desk, led by D/AIP Mugabe Derrick, along with the regional SOC0 and District SOC0 DCPL Mubangizi. Grace’s lifeless body was found hanging by a piece of cloth around her neck, in a decomposing state.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson, confirmed that the crime scene was thoroughly documented, and photographs were taken. Following the necessary procedures, the body was removed from the scene and transported to the Kabale Regional Referral Mortuary, where it awaits a postmortem examination.
