Sabiti has asked the authorities to interrogate his uncle and uncover his motives, expressing concern for his family’s safety. He mentioned that it was the first time he had witnessed such an act but revealed that one of his daughters had frequently been attacked by evil spirits.

Christopher Serugyendo, the Gisasa LC1 Chairman, confirmed that he also found Mzee Zarura lying beside the grave. Upon learning about the incident, many angry residents gathered with the intention of torturing Zarura, but Serugyendo prevented them from doing so. He also revealed that Zarura’s two sons and his wife stood as his sureties to secure his release from the residents after reaching an agreement that the matter would be discussed the following morning, but they all failed to show up.
