KABALE – The Rubira Church of Uganda lay reader’s family in Kyanamira sub-county, Kabale Municipality, is currently gripped by fear following the sudden disappearance of their 40-year-old patriarch.
The missing individual is identified as Aryatwijuka Living, a resident of Katookye cell in Kigata parish, Kyanamira Sub-County, Kabale district. According to Ninsiima Prudence (38), the wife of the victim, Aryatwijuka left home on his motorcycle around 10:00 AM on a Monday and failed to return. Concern grew as the hours passed, prompting Ninsiima to start calling his phone around 9:00 PM, but all attempts were in vain.
In their search for Aryatwijuka, the family discovered his court maroon motorcycle, church books, and a receipt for church funds abandoned along Kabale – Mbarara road. Distressed by these findings, Ninsiima reported the matter to Kabale Central Police Station upon learning that the victim’s motorcycle had been found abandoned at Lubira village along the Mbarara road, taken to the LC 2 chairman by two Good Samaritans.

Their mission was to visit the scene, examine it thoroughly, and initiate a search for the missing individual.

The crime scene was visited by a team of homicide detectives led by D/CPL Mubangizi Soco, who documented the relevant evidence and obtained statements.
