KABALE: Police in Kabale District are currently stuck with the body of an unidentified male adult found in Rushera village, Nyabushabi Parish, Kyanamira Sub-county.

According to Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, the body was discovered by locals on Friday morning as they were heading to their gardens. The deceased, who was found on a hill, was half-naked, missing a pair of trousers.

The Local Council Two Chairman, Mutana Lasmas, reported the matter to the police officers at Kyanamira Police Station, who then informed Kabale Central Police Station. A case file was opened, and police visited the scene to process and document the evidence.

The body, found lying in a bushy area with fresh cut wounds on its private parts, was taken to Kabale Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem.

Maate is appealing to anyone missing a loved one to visit the hospital mortuary to help identify the body and arrange a decent burial. He also urges anyone with information regarding the death to come forward to assist in apprehending the suspects.
