KISORO – Angry mob in Ntarama Village, Soko Parish, Muramba Sub County of Kisoro district have attacked and set ablaze homes of Nyiransenga, Mukanoheri Christine, and Regina accusing them of practicing witchcraft.
Mukanoheri Christine (38) was severely assaulted during the incident and rescued by Kisoro police officers.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson, confirmed the attack, stating that Christine is receiving treatment at Torch to heart medical centre yesterday.
The scene was processed by police officers, including IP Rwamahe, SOCO detectives, and uniformed personnel.
Twenty suspects have been arrested and are held at Kisoro Central Police Station for investigation.
