Mob Kills Kisoro Man for Stealing his Own Father’s Cow

KISORO: Police in Kisoro are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified male adult.

 

According to ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi region police spokesperson, it’s alleged that on Saturday 3/12/2022, the deceased stole a cow from his father and as he was taking it to unknown place, two people from his village followed him and when they reached Gako village, they made an alarm that attracted local residents who lynched him to death.

 

Police was notified, scene was visited and documented, body taken to Kisoro hospital for postmortem.

 

ASP Maate added that One suspect is already in custody for questioning as Inquiries are at hand.

 

A case of murder by mob was registered at Kisoro central police station under file number CRB 836/2022.
