Mob Kills One in Kabale

KABALE- Police in Kabale district are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 47 years old, Adriano Tinabo, a resident of Busangano village, Kibuga sub county in Kabale district.

ASP Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police Spokes Person told our Reporter that the LC111 for Kibuga Subcounty informed Katuna police on 15.02. 2023 at around 07:00pm that a person had been killed at Busangano trading center in Nyamitoma village Kibuga parish, Kibuga Sub county in Kabale district.

According to the ASP Maate It’s alleged that on 14/2/2023 at around 08:00pm the deceased who is a narcotics addict allegedly speared and injured a Rukore technical school student identified as Julius Owamani of 19 year who is also a resident of Busangano village, as he was descending from the garden and the case was reported at Katuna police on Wednesday 15/2/2023 at 04:50Pm.

It’s further alleged that on 15.02.2023 at around 10:00am, the same person at Busangano village met and speared another yet to be identified victim and escaped from the village.

“This angered and prompted people to hunt for him and around 5:30pm, Andriano was seen moving within Nyamitoma village where was lynched by mob” Maate Said.

He assserted that the scene has been visited and processed today morning 16-2-2023 by the district CID and team, body taken to Kabale referral hospital for postmortem.

Maate noted that a statement on murder by mob has been recorded at Katuna Police station under file ref 10/15/02/2022
