Police in Kira Division have recovered a three-month-old baby boy who was allegedly stolen from Kireka D Cell, Kireka Ward, Namugongo Division in Kira Municipality, Wakiso District.

According to Police, the incident occurred on May 4, 2026, when the suspect, identified as Amongin Brenda, visited the home of her cousin, Akunyo Sarah, after reportedly travelling from Kalaki District. She allegedly told the family that she had come to process her National ID through the express service.

It is alleged that on May 5 at around 2:00 PM, the baby’s mother briefly stepped outside, leaving the child asleep in the house. When she returned moments later, she reportedly found the baby missing, while the suspect had also disappeared.
