The deceased, identified as Ruth Nuwabine, a resident of Kakuto village, Kashekye Parish, Kamwezi sub-county in Rukiga district, was found dead in her sitting room by her children yesterday at around 07:00 AM.

According to the police, the deceased was last seen on Wednesday around 09:00 PM by her immediate neighbor, Ampire Meron, after spending the day digging for money.

On Wednesday evening, after supper with her children, the deceased remained in the sitting room seated on a local mat while her children went to sleep in their room.

Around 01:00 AM, the children heard their mother crying and saying, “Tamba, why are you killing me?” Concerned, they went to check on her but found her lying down, seemingly asleep. They noticed a person they knew as Tamba leaving the house wearing a red cap and black gum boots, causing them to feel afraid, so they returned to bed.
