KASESE: A senior four student at Karambi Secondary School in Karambi Sub County in Kasese District, Maate Emmanuel (16) committed suicide after impregnating a senior girl, Police have revealed.
SP Nelson Tumushime, the Rwenzori East Region Police spokesperson confirmed the development and said that the deceased left a suicide note with writings “I impregnated a S.1 Girl” inside his bedroom where he committed the act from.
According to SP Tumushime, on the 12th Oct 24, at approximately 08:00AM, at Mirami Village, the deceased woke up sane and sound , ate breakfast and went back to his bedroom.
“After a short period of time his colleague came looking for him, this prompted the grandfather to look for the deceased inside the house but to his dismay he found the Boy hanging with a rope on his neck and had a suicide note with writings ” I impregnated a S.1 Girl”. He said.
He noted that a team of Police Officers from Bwera Division led by D/Asp Turyabasa Enock , Div SOCO rushed to the Scene, processed it and conveyed the body to the Mortuary at Bwera Hospital for Pf 48 & 48B
He however said that investigations are still ongoing.
