KASESE: A 93-year-old widow in Kirembo village, Kisinga town council, Bukonzo County East in Kasese District, is homeless after her house was burned down by unknown individuals.

Frumera Busingye Kibikwamo, the widow of the late Yonasani Kule Kithibitho, recounts that her house was set ablaze on Wednesday evening by unknown people who fled immediately. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.

Kibikwamo says the house contained three million Ugandan shillings, which she had saved to construct a permanent house. Other items destroyed in the fire include a bed, mattress, clothes, plates, and various household items, leaving her destitute.

She is appealing to well-wishers and the government to investigate the incident and identify the perpetrators. Some of her grandsons report that the arsonists threatened them with pangas and knives before setting the house on fire.
