The Parish Priest of Christ the King Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Fred Birungi, has called on Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and draw comfort from the teachings of Jesus Christ, especially during times of uncertainty and hardship.

Delivering his homily during a High Mass, Fr. Birungi emphasized the importance of trusting in God as a source of peace. He noted that Jesus urged His followers not to let their hearts be troubled, assuring them that faith in Him brings calm even in difficult moments.

He further highlighted the promise of eternal life, reminding believers that Jesus spoke of preparing a special place for them in His Father’s house. According to Fr. Birungi, this message offers hope and reassurance that life extends beyond earthly struggles into God’s eternal presence.

Fr. Birungi also underscored the central message of Christianity, that Jesus is the only path to God, citing scripture in which Christ declares Himself “the way, the truth, and the life.” He explained that through Jesus, Christians gain a deeper understanding of God and build a closer relationship with Him.

He added that Jesus’ unity with God the Father is reflected in His words and works, which demonstrate divine authority and love, strengthening believers’ trust in His mission.
