KABALE – The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Honorable Catheline Atwakiire Ndamira has encouraged Christians to embrace reconciliation during the New Year Celebration.
Speaking at the New Year Celebration service held at St. Peter’s Karujanga Church of Uganda in Rukore Archdeaconry, Kibuga sub-county, Ndorwa West County of Kabale District, Hon. Atwakiire emphasized the need for communities and families to mend relationships.
She observed that greetings have become scarce, and some individuals avoid interaction with their peers.
Highlighting the importance of unity, Honorable Atwakiire urged Christians, especially those who have been estranged, to reconcile and foster harmony within families.
Additionally, Hon. Atwakiire urged the public to prioritize saving for education, anticipating the upcoming return of children to school.

Later, she participated in a mass at Katuna Catholic Church Centre in Katuna Town Council, Ndorwa West County of Kabale District. The Mass was presided over by the Rwanyana Parish priest, Rev Fr. Musinguzi Deus.
