MBARARA: A 17-year-old student from Mbarara Secondary School has tragically drowned at Katete Beach in Mbarara City.
The victim, identified as Jordan Balimwikungu, was a day student at the school and resided in Kiswahili Cell, Kakoba Ward.
According to SP Samson Kasasira, the spokesperson for Rwizi Region Police, the incident occurred at 11:57 PM on Monday while Balimwikungu was swimming at the beach.
