The Ministry of Finance has announced the commencement of the National Budget Month for FY 2025/26. The official launch will take place this Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Uganda Media Centre, starting at 11:00 AM.
Throughout the Budget Month, the Ministry of Finance will present key insights to the people of Uganda, including an assessment of the economy’s performance, the economic growth strategy for FY 2025/26 and the medium term, budget priorities, available opportunities, financing strategies, and the overall resource envelope.
The Ministry will also provide accountability on the progress of commitments made by the NRM Government during the first phase of Vision 2040, along with other crucial economic matters.
The budget for FY 2025/26 is aligned with the ATMS (Accelerated Transformation Model and Strategy) and key enablers to support Uganda’s ambitious 10-fold growth agenda, aimed at achieving a USD 500 billion economy by 2040.
