KISORO: The state of roads within Kisoro municipality has sparked a chorus of complaints among its residents.

Pockmarked with potholes and rendered nearly impassable, many of these roads become treacherous during the rainy season, turning into slippery hazards. Among the worst affected are Kivengyere Road, Chuho Road, Garage Street, Mutanda Road, and the stretch from Mugatimba Market to Central Pharmacy.

According to Boda-Boda riders, navigating these roads has become a perilous endeavor, with more than ten accidents reported monthly due to the treacherous potholes, often formed by the erosive force of rainwater.

Addressing these concerns, Ayubu Kisubi, the Kisoro Municipality Town Clerk, acknowledged the severity of the situation. He explained that the municipality has resorted to patching the roads with a mixture of murram and debris as a temporary measure to mitigate the proliferation of potholes.
