Police in Rubirizi District are investigating a suspected murder after a 45-year-old man was discovered with severe facial injuries along a roadside in Nyandongo 1A village on Friday, September 27, 2025.
The deceased, identified as Ensinikweri Sipriano, was found lying unconscious with multiple deep cuts on his face.
Residents rushed him to Rugazi Health Center IV, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Greater Bushenyi Region Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tayebwa Apollo, condemned the killing and said a full investigation has been opened to trace and apprehend the perpetrators.
“We strongly condemn this act of violence. Our teams are actively investigating, and we shall ensure that those responsible are brought to justice,” SP Tayebwa said.
Police are awaiting a post-mortem report to establish the exact cause of death. Authorities have called on the public to provide any relevant information that could aid in the investigation.
