Police in Sheema District are investigating circumstances surrounding a suspected suicide involving a 49-year-old man, Muhereza Justus, a resident of Rweyeshera Cell in Kagango Division.

According to police, the incident is believed to have occurred at the deceased’s home at an unknown time and was reported to authorities on Sunday December 21, 2025. Officers promptly responded to the scene, which was secured and managed in line with standard police procedures.

The body was retrieved and conveyed to Kabwohe Health Centre IV, where it is being held pending a post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death, as required by law.

Preliminary inquiries suggest the deceased may have been experiencing domestic misunderstandings, although police emphasize that investigations are still ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
