RUBIRIZI: The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, has challenged leaders in their respective districts to emulate President Yoweri Museveni by taking personal initiative in supervising the implementation of the Parish Development Model (PDM) in their jurisdictions.
Tayebwa made these remarks while addressing a meeting of PDM beneficiaries in Rubirizi District, where President Museveni has commenced his tour and assessment of the PDM program across 12 districts in the Ankole Sub-region.
He emphasized that the President has consistently called for exemplary leadership from all officials to drive socio-economic transformation in their communities. Tayebwa urged leaders to be patriotic and proactive in ensuring the success of the Parish Development Model, which aims to uplift citizens economically.
Additionally, the Deputy Speaker mentioned government plans to assist families affected by the 2018 fuel tanker explosion in Kyambula village, Rubirizi District.
