Authorities at Itojo General Hospital Mortuary in Ntungamo District are holding an unclaimed body of a man believed to be in his early 40s.
The deceased has been identified as Richard Turyasingura, reportedly a resident of Kisoro District.
Ntungamo District Communications Officer Anthony Kushaba says efforts are ongoing to trace the deceased’s relatives.
He added that if the body remains unclaimed within the stipulated period, district authorities, in collaboration with Itojo General Hospital, will proceed with burial arrangements in line with public health guidelines.
“Anyone who may have known the deceased or has information about his relatives is requested to come forward,” Kushaba said.
