UPDF Advances Recruitment Drive to Kalaki and Kaberamaido Districts

DOKOLO: The Uganda People’s Defence Force has advanced to the Kalaki and Kaberamaido districts to recruit shortlisted candidates.

The ongoing exercise at Dokolo Technical Institute includes the presence of local leaders from both districts, according to Captain Kato Ahmad Hassan, Public Information Officer for the UPDF 4th Infantry Division HQ/PIO Team Six.

Captain Kato reports that the candidates’ academic and other supporting documents have been verified.

“Candidates have completed a preliminary physical examination where the doctor checks for deformities such as ringworm, scabies, scars, missing teeth, and other abnormalities,” stated Captain Kato.

He added that candidates have also successfully completed a 4km physical test run.

“We are now conducting blood tests to check for illnesses such as HIV, hepatitis, hemorrhoids, and performing pregnancy tests for female candidates,” he said.

Captain Kato noted that four candidates from Kalaki district were found with fake UCE papers and have been handed over to the DISO Kalaki for further management.

He also revealed that recruitment for Apac is on July 11th, Oyam on July 12th, and Kole on July 13th.

“The three districts will conduct recruitment at Apac District Headquarters on their respective dates,” he said.

He appealed to candidates from these areas to arrive at Apac District Headquarters by 6:00 AM on the specified dates.
