KABALE: The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama, has warned students in Kabale District against engaging in political hate speech, which has recently proliferated on social media.
Justice Byabakama delivered his remarks as the keynote speaker on Monday during a public lecture organized by the Electoral Commission for tertiary institutions in Kabale District, held at Kabale University. He urged the youth to abstain from hate speech, insults, and abuse on social media, emphasizing that such behavior can lead to violence and undermine the country’s democracy.
