They emphasized that, despite the pledge made by Bahati, who also serves as the State Minister of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives, the promised donation has not materialized. The student leaders pointed out that the absence of computers has led to many becoming computer illiterate, which is a serious concern in a world that is rapidly going digital.

Amos Twiine, the school’s head teacher, further explained how the lack of computers and internet connectivity is impacting the school’s ability to conduct exams and facilitate project work. He noted that, due to these constraints, the school has been forced to trek to Kabale Town to access necessary computer and internet services.

In response to this pressing need, Counsel Eliab Naturinda Mporera, an education advocate, made a timely contribution over the weekend, donating the first-ever computer to the school. Both the students and Head teacher Twiine expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the generous donation, with Twiine acknowledging its importance in helping the school bridge the digital divide.
