KABALE: Kabale District authorities on Tuesday launched the construction of two twin classroom blocks at Butanda Secondary School, located in Butanda Sub-county worth 285 million shillings to improve the learning environment at the school.

The ground-breaking ceremony was officiated by Kabale’s Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Christopher Aine, who urged the contractor to strictly adhere to the bill of quantities outlined for the project. Aine also expressed concern over the school’s current state, which he said significantly compromises the learning environment for students.

The scope of the project includes site leveling, external works, environmental and social safeguards, as well as safety management.
