Kabale Woman MP Atwakiire Tips University Students on Excellence & Morality for a Better Future

KABALE – The Kabale District Women Member of Parliament, Honorable Atwakiire Catheline Ndamira has advised students to strive for excellence during their tenure at university and shun from evil acts for a better future.

She emphasized the importance of hard work, patience, making wise choices, and aiming for top grades.

Her message was conveyed during a speech read by her political assistant, Mr. Alex Akampurila, at the three-day student conference of Kabale University Catholic Community at St. Stephen Kirigime Catholic Church in Kabale municipality.

Honorable Atwakiire likened the university experience to a buffet, teeming with opportunities and choices.

She stressed that each choice carries consequences, which can significantly impact one’s future.

She also highlighted several crucial do’s and don’ts for the students, including the importance of having positive role models, adhering to a proper dress code, and focusing on their vision and personal growth.

During the conference, Reverend Father Ceasar Julius from the Archdiocese of Mbarara delivered a sermon, advising students not to let their current circumstances undermine their self-worth.

He encouraged them to stand firm and not allow anyone to underestimate their potential.

The conference’s theme, inspired by John 11:40, emphasized the power of belief: “If you believe, you will see the glory of God.”

This theme encouraged students to maintain faith in their abilities and the bright future that awaits them through their dedication and hard work.
