The donation fulfills a promise made during last year’s Teachers Day celebration, with the Katakwi branch of the Uganda National Teachers Union (UNATU) receiving the bull, valued at 2.5 million shillings.

The gift was facilitated by the private secretary for political mobilization from the President’s office.

Speaking on behalf of Daniel Mulalu, Julius Otim, former LC3 chairperson of Katakwi Town Council and head of the Kazi Ni Kazi Foundation, expressed the organization’s commitment to understanding the challenges faced by teachers.

He reaffirmed their ongoing support for educators, emphasizing their essential role in the nation’s development.

UNATU chairperson John Okot voiced his gratitude for the Kazi Ni Kazi Foundation’s fulfillment of its promise, noting that many governments and stakeholders often fall short of such commitments.
