RUBANDA – Authorities at St. Peter’s Kakariisa Vocational Institute in Nyamweru Sub-county of Rubanda District are facing a daunting challenge in securing 25 million Ugandan Shillings for the much-needed renovation of their deteriorating buildings.
The Head Teacher of St. Peter’s Kakariisa Vocational Institute, Akankwasa, expressed deep concern about the institute’s current situation, highlighting the insufficient capital that even affects the ability to provide competitive staff salaries. Akankwasa pointed out the shortage of classrooms and desks, hindering the institute’s capacity to meet the educational needs of the community.
He is appealing for support from well-wishers to enable the institution to expand its services to the community. Akankwasa emphasized the importance of vocational studies, noting the scarcity of white-collar jobs in Uganda today.
