The Woman Member of Parliament for Soroti City, Hon. Joan Achom Alobo, has called upon parents to prioritise their children’s education by ensuring they are enrolled in school and supported throughout their academic journey.

She made the remarks on Sunday while speaking at a function organised to celebrate the academic achievement of businessman Joseph Okwangakipi, who recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Uganda Management Institute (UMI). The event was held in Mukujju Sub-county, Tororo District.

She stressed that education should remain a top priority for every family, noting that investing in children’s education is key to building a better future for communities and the country at large.

“Parents should ensure their children go to school and support them throughout their education because learning is the foundation for a successful future,” Hon. Achom said.
