RUKIGA- St. Paul’s Senior Secondary Bukinda in Rukiga district on Thursday hosted a prestigious event to celebrate and honor exceptional individuals for their remarkable achievements and contributions to academic excellence.
During the ceremony, the school recognized the top performers in the A’ level examinations for the years 2022 and 2019, acknowledging their outstanding performance, which has further solidified the institution’s reputation as a leading educational establishment in the region. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the school remained steadfast in its commitment to acknowledging and appreciating its exceptional achievers.
Expressing his gratitude, Johnbosco Ruhangasiimwe, the head teacher of the school, attributed their remarkable results in national exams to the blessings and guidance of God.
He spoke about the sense of jubilation within the institution and its continuous pursuit of excellence.
The event not only recognized outstanding candidates but also paid tribute to exceptional teachers and non-teaching staff members who have played instrumental roles in fostering academic excellence and raising the school’s stature.
During his address to the audience, Christopher Ndyabegyera, the Inspector of Schools for Rukiga district, emphasized the importance of implementing a robust strategy for Information Communication and Technology (ICT) teaching and learning. Ndyabegyera urged schools to embrace ICT as a means to enhance students’ capabilities and provide them with better access to interactive learning materials.
He emphasized the need to prepare students to meet global standards in an increasingly digital world.
Earlier in the day, during the mass, Reverend Father Siliverio Twinomugisha, the parish priest of Nyakibare Parish in Rukungiri district, delivered an inspiring message to the students.
He urged them to embody the vision of the school’s founders by cultivating discipline and focus, as these qualities are fundamental to achieving academic excellence and personal growth.
