The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has issued a stern warning to school heads, directors, and the general public about fraudsters claiming to be members of the UNEB Security Committee.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Jennifer Kalule Musamba, UNEB Public Relations Officer, said these imposters are reportedly demanding money from school leaders, falsely claiming they can improve students’ grades or remove names from lists of candidates allegedly involved in examination malpractice.

“These claims are completely false. UNEB does not operate in this way,” Kalule Musamba said, urging school heads and the public to avoid dealing with such individuals. She emphasized that no one should hand over money to anyone claiming to be a UNEB board member.

Kalule Musamba appealed to the public to report any such incidents to the police or directly to UNEB. She added that anyone providing useful information will be protected under the whistleblower policy.
