Malaba-based artiste and filmmaker Penny Nafula has announced the launch of her new song ‘Olimulayi’ and movie innocent prisoners (A Snake Within), in Malaba, Tororo district.
The launch is scheduled for November 27, 2026, at Spykers Hotel in Malaba, Tororo District, as part of activities following the launch of her Embaga album.
Nafula said the upcoming event marks another milestone in her artistic journey, which she said has been characterised by both challenges and achievements.
She revealed that her career has faced several setbacks, including disagreements with the former chairperson of her company, Margaret Nabyonga, who was later removed from the position.
Despite the challenges, Nafula said she has chosen to focus on the future and is continuing to build her career with the support of her manager and close friend, producer Gesta, the boss of CXB Studio.
She described Gesta as a source of encouragement and a key figure in helping her navigate what she termed a challenging journey in the entertainment industry.

Nafula also highlighted her growing presence in the media, saying her work has been featured on Bukedde TV and promoted by several radio stations, including East FM, Voice of Busia, Eastern Voice, Faith FM, Voice of Malaba, Moving Gospel Radio, Rock City Radio and Rock Mambo, among others.
She thanked the promoters, media personalities and other stakeholders who have supported her work and helped expose her artistic projects to a wider audience.
As part of her efforts to professionalise her career, Nafula said she has successfully registered her company, Penny Nafula Films Best Entertainment UG Movie Stars, popularly known as Penny Nafula Films, and obtained a registration certificate.
She also applauded Director Muhammad, the boss of Zimbaka Studios, and Director Lukuman for supporting her artistic work.
Nafula further acknowledged her boyfriend, Nyongesa Isaac, who also serves as her personal assistant, for the support he has given her career.
She described her fans as an important part of her success, saying their support continues to inspire her to pursue her artistic ambitions.
“To me, a fan is a king. I am grateful for your support because it fuels my artwork,” she said.
Nafula said she remains determined to take her company to greater heights, despite the obstacles she has encountered along the way.
She said her experience has taught her that success requires hard work, consistency and a willingness to learn from past mistakes.
“Challenges are part of life. Success comes from hard work, consistency and learning from previous mistakes,” she said.
