Rebecca’s story is a reminder of the importance of reducing sugar intake in today’s society. After switching to Zero Sugar, she immediately noticed that her energy levels improved, and the headaches became less frequent. She feels more active, and she no longer experiences the constant cravings for sugary snacks.

“The most surprising change has been my weight loss. I lost 4kgs within the first 30 days! I didn’t even need to try drastic diets—just cutting out sugar did wonders. Plus, my blood pressure, which had been borderline high, has normalized. I feel more alive, and I’ve even been able to walk around Kampala without feeling exhausted. I’m definitely continuing this Zero Sugar lifestyle for the full 90 days!”

Rebecca’s testimony highlights the connection between sugar and hypertension—an NCD that affects many Ugandans. Her experience proves that making a small but significant change, such as cutting sugar, can help prevent and reverse the effects of NCDs.

2. Samuel A., Male – Mbarara

“I never used to pay much attention to what I was eating. I’m a farmer, so I have a physically demanding lifestyle, but I noticed that I was becoming more tired, even after a long day of work. I was also battling with obesity, and my doctor warned me about the risks of diabetes if I didn’t make a change. That’s when I decided to try Zero Sugar.”

For Samuel, it wasn’t just about appearance, but about his long-term health. After transitioning to Zero Sugar products, he saw a remarkable difference in his energy and weight management.

“Within a few weeks, I felt lighter and had more stamina. It wasn’t easy at first—sugar was a huge part of my diet, especially with the local delicacies and beverages. But after a while, I noticed that my blood sugar levels, which were high, became more stable. My doctor even noticed a difference when I went in for a check-up. I feel more confident and committed to completing this 90-day challenge!”

Samuel’s experience underscores the importance of managing sugar intake in preventing diseases like diabetes and obesity, common NCDs that many faces due to poor diet and lifestyle choices.

3. Imelda T., Female – Mbale

“As a mother of three, I often didn’t take time for myself. I’d focus on the kids and household chores, eating what was quick and easy. This meant sugary snacks and drinks were a constant part of my day. By January 15th, I had gained a lot of weight, and my doctor told me I was at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.”

Imelda’s turning point came when she realized that her eating habits were not just affecting her, but also her children. Deciding to make a change, she opted for Zero Sugar products and has seen remarkable benefits.

“Cutting sugar from my diet was difficult, but I quickly felt the difference. My sugar cravings diminished, and I began to lose weight. I’ve lost 5kgs so far, and I no longer feel sluggish. My blood sugar levels are stable, and I am no longer afraid of developing diabetes. It’s also great to know that my kids are seeing me make healthier choices, which they can model too. I’m committed to seeing this through to the end of the 90 days.”

Imelda’s testimony illustrates how reducing sugar intake not only improves personal health but also sets a positive example for others, particularly in the context of preventing the onset of NCDs like diabetes.
