Eddie Nahwera, founder of Kigezi Teens Magazine on Wednesday held a strategic meeting with Madam Julie Solberg and Rino Solberg at the Child Africa offices in Kansanga, Kampala to discuss potential collaborations aimed at empowering teenagers through innovation, mentorship, and sustainable development initiatives.

Describing the meeting as “deeply inspiring,” Nahwera praised the Solbergs for their unwavering dedication to youth empowerment across Uganda and Africa. Through their NGO, Child Africa, they have helped countless young people gain access to education and life-changing opportunities.

During the meeting, the three visionaries exchanged ideas on how to expand the reach and impact of Uganda Teens Magazine formerly Kigezi Teens Magazine, into a truly national platform. Their shared goal: to create a space where Ugandan youth can express themselves, connect, learn, and grow regardless of their background or region.

Nahwera also introduced an exciting new initiative called BINGWA, which means “champion” in Swahili. This program is designed to help teenagers across Uganda unlock their potential and develop the mindset, skills, and values needed to become ethical leaders and agents of positive change in their communities. BINGWA emphasizes honesty, integrity, and leadership, core values that Nahwera believes are essential for building a brighter future.

“As our slogan says, ‘Every child is a champion,’” Nahwera emphasized. “We’re committed to raising a generation of confident, skilled, and socially responsible youth who will shape the future of our communities and the nation.”
