Boda-Boda Rider Dies in Kisoro Accident

KISORO-A boda-boda cyclist aged 27 has perished in a road fatal accident in Kisoro district along Kisoro-Kabale Road.

Asp Ell Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson has identified the deceased as Ivan Nzeyimana, a rider of Motorcycle registration no UDK 398V TVS starred I color, also a resident of Kagano village, Kanaba sub county in Kisoro district.

Maate said that Nzeyimana died on spot in a road accident that involved motor vehicle reg no UAU 093L TOYOTA Premio silver grey driven by Turimumahoro Peter Ndaisenga (36), a resident of Nyaruhengere Village, Busamba parish, Southern division in Kisoro municipality.

Maate also narrates that the accident also injured Ronald Nkutukozera (17) a resident of Rukoro village, Kanaba sub county Kisoro district who is currently admitted at St Francis Mutorere hospital in Kisoro Municipality.

 According to Maate, the accident occurred at Kagano village, Kanaba subcounty in Kisoro district along kisoro-kabale road on Thursday this week.

It’s alleged that the motorcycle reg no UDK 398V Was carrying one passenger from Kisoro side heading to Kabale side following a trailer of fuel tank and tried to overtake in a corner and met an oncoming motor vehicle reg no UAU 093L and collided head on and the rider died on spot while the passenger sustained serious injuries.

 Maate adds that the scene was visited by Sgt Otole and the team, Sketch plan was drawn and the Victim was rushed to St Francis Mutorere hospital.

He also added that the deceased body was taken to Kisoro hospital mortuary pending postmortem 48 And B filled Driver on Pf94 and that both motorcycle and motor vehicle were retrieved and parked at Kisoro central police station pending IOV Inspection.
