The Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court has set September 9, 2026, as the date for delivering a consolidated ruling on the bail applications of seven senior Parliament officials facing corruption-related charges.

The officials, who are currently on remand at Luzira Prison, include Parliament Director of Communications and Public Affairs Chris Obore, Director of Human Resource Adilo Daniel, Principal Research Officer Rajab Kaaya Ssemalulu, Principal Protocol Officer Okwi Emmanuel Emuron, Capacity Development Officer Otebata Vincent, Executive Secretary in the Office of the Speaker Okema Leonard, and Parliament Cooperative Savings and Credit Society (SACCO) Chief Executive Officer Murebe Methods.

The matter came before Justice Michael Elubu on Monday, who issued a timetable to guide the hearing and determination of the bail applications.
