The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential flag bearer, Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, has pledged to prioritize the improvement of road infrastructure in the Rwenzori region if elected president.
While addressing a rally in Ntandi Town Council, Bundibugyo District, on Sunday, Mafabi said constructing major roads in the district would boost agriculture and safeguard the livelihoods of farming communities in Bundibugyo and across the country.
In Ntoroko District, Mafabi vowed to end the harassment of fishermen by security personnel on Uganda’s water bodies. He also pledged to revamp the health sector, raise teachers’ salaries, provide free education for their children, and improve teachers’ accommodation facilities.
Later, while speaking to supporters in Rugendabara-Kikongo, Kasese District, Mafabi said he would use his expertise as an economist to strengthen the economy and ensure that “money is more meaningful in the hands of local communities,” noting that Uganda is already stable in terms of security.
