The Deputy Inspector General of Government (IGG), Dr Patricia Achan Okiria, has urged Chief Administrative Officers and Town Clerks to mobilise all public officers to submit their personal data in preparation for the declaration of incomes, assets and liabilities scheduled for April 2026.

Dr Achan emphasised that updating the Public Officers’ Register is a critical prerequisite for a smooth and successful declaration exercise.

She commended local governments whose IG-ODS Focal Persons had achieved high update rates, noting that this reflected strong leadership support, effective internal coordination and a firm commitment to compliance with the Leadership Code Act.

“The update of the Public Officers’ Register remains a critical prerequisite for a smooth and successful declaration exercise,” she said.

The Deputy IGG made the remarks while addressing Chief Administrative Officers and Town Clerks during their quarterly meeting.
