Once burdened with charges related to the alleged failure to safeguard war materials and accusations of involvement in aiding and abetting the kidnapping of Rwandese refugees, Gen Kayihura emerged today as a free man. The General Court Martial chairman, Brig Gen Freeman Mugabe, delivered the watershed moment by formally dropping all charges against him, declaring him unshackled by legal constraints.
