State Minister for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (Industry), Hon. David Bahati, has been defeated in the Ndorwa West Constituency NRM parliamentary primaries by city lawyer Eliab Naturinda Mporera.

According to official results announced by Kabale District NRM Registrar, Barbrah Ainebyoona, Counsel Naturinda secured 25,027 votes, edging out Minister Bahati who garnered 23,759 votes.
