The Kabale woman member of parliament Hon. Catherine Atwakiire Ndamira has asked Kabale residents to join hands in a fight against domestic violence in order to improve their household income.
Atwakiire made these remarks on Tuesday this week while speaking to the mourners at the burial of 92 years Judith Nkeijanazo of Karujabura village, Mweendo Parish, Kitumba Sub-county in Kabale district.
Atwakiire said married couples (husband and wife) have got small misunderstandings which has diverted them from loving through respecting each other.
She further revealed that residents should this new year of 2023 to ask for forgiveness, love each other and even combine efforts in a fight against domestic violence saying if this is done shall promote cooperation hence family development in all aspects of household income, reducing school dropout rates among others domestic violence consequences.
Isaiah Byarugaba Kanyamahaane the Kamwenge Resident District Commissioner and Meresi Nkwasibwe the daughter in-law of the deceased all have recommended the Late Nkeijanazo that she will always be remembered for the love and a spirit of loving her children without segregation which has made it to be a family history asking the left family members to copy and paste all the habits Nkeijanazo had during her earthly time of living.
Rev. Fr Matthias Kwehangana representing the Christ the King Parish Priest in a lead of the burial mass service preached the gospel of loving each because no one knows the number of days he/she has in the earth.
Late Judith Nkeijanazo is a wife to biological uncle to Isaiah Byarugaba Kanyamahaane the Kamwenge Resident District Commissioner and has died at the age of 92 years leaving 1 child and 6 grandchildren and 24 great grand children
