KABALE – Authorities at Kabale Region Referral Hospital in Kabale District are grappling with the remains of an unidentified adult male who tragically lost his life in a fatal accident along the Kabale-Mbarara highway.
The incident occurred on 03/11/2023 around 30:00 PM at Kyobugombe trading center, Kaharo Sub County, along the Kabale-Mbarara highway.
The accident involved a trailer with registration number RAE128E/RL3057 and a motorcycle bearing registration number UEE 967E, ridden by the deceased.
As per the police statement, the deceased reportedly collided with a stationary vehicle that had experienced mechanical issues the previous day at noon, while he was traveling from Kabale towards Muhanga.
   Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson, notes that the scene was examined by Asp Mucunguzi, the OC Traffic Kabale, and his team. The body was subsequently transported to Kabale Referral Hospital for postmortem examination.
Maate is now urging anyone with information about the motorcyclist’s identity to come forward and assist in the identification process for proper burial arrangements.
