Kabale NRM Publicity Secretary Knocks Boda Boda Rider

Police in Kabale District is holding the Kabale District National Resistance Movement Publicist Secretary who knocked a Boda Boda rider and injured him seriously

According to the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate  the suspect is Turyahabwa Edson a resident of Kabale District who is Kabale District National Resistance Movement Publicity Secretary who was driving motor vehicle registration number 286P Ipsum nevy blue in color driven which he used to knock a Boda Boda rider identified Ahabwe whose leg got Shartered who was riding a motor cycle registration number UEP 050U Bajaj Boxer red in color

Maate said that the accident occurred on Friday the 09/12/2022 at about 09:30pm in the evening opposite National Water and Sergerage corporation (NWSC) Office along Nyerere road heading to Kabale National Teacher in Kabale municipality

ASP Maate said that the victim was rushed to Medicus hospital for treatment where as the driver is suspected to have been drunk and was detained in kabale central police station

This is not the first time for the  Kabale District National Resistance Movement Publicity Secretary to get involved in such, in May,2017 Turyahabwa at Kabanyonyiin Buhara sub county knocked and injured Regina Bigana who was a resident of Rwankuba village Buhara sub county while driving the same motor vehicle

Maate adds, the Motor vehicle and Motorcycle were towed and parked at Kabale Central Police station yard pending IOV inspection.

He noted that Scene was visited and preliminary cause of the accident is suspected to have been driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

The case of seriously Road traffic accident was registered at Kabale Central Police station under reference number TAR 133/2022
