Hon MP Justine Nameere the Masaka City Woman has been reportedly arrested by plain-clothed operatives and whisked away to an unknown destination.
Nameere was picked up on Friday evening at around 8:30pm while heading to Liberation Square in Masaka City, after concluding a post-swearing-in convoy drive from Kampala.
She was travelling with supporters when a white Toyota Hiace with covered number plates blocked her convoy along the circular road. The vehicle is said to have forced the convoy to a halt.
A supporter, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the operatives ordered Nameere out of her Range Rover before driving her away.
Southern Regional Police Spokesperson Twaha Kasirye said police were not aware of the incident and were still verifying reports.
