KABALE- The Kigezi Region Police spokesperson ASP Elly Maate has rallied the public in Kigezi Sub-Region to stop engaging in land conflicts and gender-based violence which has become the song of the day in the region
Maate said this while addressing the journalists at the grounds of high court of Kabale office in Kikungiri Southern Division Kabale Municipality
Maate said that most of the incidence in Kigezi Region is land conflicts, domestic violence, murders, child abuse and among others which puts the security of Kigezi at stake
The spokesperson Maate appealed to public from Kigezi region to always take the cases to the elevate offices of the law such that can let them out inside criminality

Last week the Kabale Deputy resident district commissioner (D/RDC) Ronald Bakak said that his office receives 5-6 cases of land conflicts and gender-based violence daily
