Rukungiri Police Probes Murder Case.

RUKUNGIRI-Police in Rukungiri district are currently investigating circumstances surrounding the murder a male adult only identified as Medard. 

 

ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi region police Spokes person says the deceased is a son to the late Makana Byamugisha a resident of Nyamigongo cell Northern ward Kebisoni town council Rukungiri district, who was lynched to death by mob for yet unknown reasons.

 

 

Maate allege that yesterday at around 4:00Pm, Kebisoni police station booked out on information to Kikango cell, Eastern ward where it was found out that the deceased had been murdered by unknown.

 

 

He noted that inquiries commenced, scene visited and documented by the district CID and team, and the body was conveyed to Rwakabengo health centre for post-mortem.

 

 

He asserted that inquiries are underway, as efforts in progress for possible suspects to be identified and the motive.
