Speaker Among Rallies Busoga to Back Museveni

The Speaker of Parliament and NRM Second National Vice Chairperson (Female), Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among, on Monday afternoon addressed a rally in Buyende District as the Busoga Sub-region prepares to welcome President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the NRM Presidential Flag Bearer, on his nationwide campaign trail.

While addressing residents, Rt. Hon. Among sensitized the community about the various wealth creation initiatives launched by the NRM government. She encouraged the people of Busoga to take full advantage of these programs as a pathway to improved household incomes and better livelihoods.

She emphasized that active participation in government development initiatives is key to Uganda’s journey toward attaining upper middle–income status.

Among commended President Museveni for his visionary and consistent leadership, which she said has transformed Uganda from years of instability into a nation of peace, progress, and opportunity.

She rallied the people of Busoga to remain united behind the NRM and to support President Museveni’s re-election bid to consolidate the gains achieved under his leadership.

Her message comes ahead of President Museveni’s scheduled campaign engagements in Busoga, where he is expected to highlight key manifesto priorities and mobilize support for the NRM ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
