“We urge the people of Kisoro to reject such individuals because every organization, including our party, has rules that must be respected. We are committed to winning this election, and we call upon the local NRM leaders in Kisoro, particularly the LC3 chairpersons, to avoid supporting independent candidates using party resources,” Kyatuhaire said.

She added, “The reception from the locals is good and encouraging. I hope we all stay strong, committed, and determined to secure a victory for the NRM.”

The NRM Director of Mobilisation, Hon. Rosemary Seninde, also appealed for support for the party’s candidate, stating that NRM has the best interests of Kisoro District at heart.

“Our focus is on reminding Kisoro residents why they should support the NRM candidate. NRM stands for unity, and its foundation is built on bringing people together. We don’t want divisions based on religion or tribal lines to disrupt this unity. If people allow these divisions, it will be a setback for everyone. Our goal is to unite Kisoro and work together to ensure an NRM victory,” Seninde said.

Kabagyeni assured voters of her commitment to deliver improved services across Kisoro District.

“I may have limited time to campaign, but my message to voters is clear: vote for NRM to achieve peace, stability, growth, and development,” Kabagyeni said.

On her campaign trail, Kabagyeni was accompanied by other NRM officials, including Mr. Rogers Mulindwa (Senior Manager for Communications), Mr. Samuel Eyenga (Senior Manager for Mobilisation), and a member of the NRM District Executive Committee, along with other local party leaders.

Earlier on Wednesday, the NRM team visited the family of the late Hon. Sarah Mateke, former Minister of State for Defence and Kisoro Woman MP, and daughter of veteran leader and NRM District Chairman Dr. Philemon Mateke.

They expressed condolences to the family, laid a wreath on Hon. Mateke’s grave, and paid tribute to her dedicated service to Uganda.
